Therapeutic Approach
Let’s uncover the roots of your difficult emotions.
Everything you are experiencing makes sense once we understand it. This understanding allows us to develop greater empathy for our thoughts, feelings, and actions.
My goal is to create a space where you feel completely free to share without judgment, allowing you to fully connect with and be yourself.
“I truly value your unique experiences and insights—they’re at the heart of our work together.”
Your unique experiences and insights are so valuable
—they’re at the heart of our work together.
My approach is humanistic and trauma-informed, drawing from my own experiences. I focus on your strengths and prioritize harm reduction, creating a supportive space for your growth and healing.
I draw from Narrative Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Compassion-Focused, Somatic, and Emotion-Focused approaches to support our journey and help guide our sessions.
Areas of Expertise
-
Complex Trauma
The parts of yourself that feel challenging—whether in your own behavior or in others—may have once helped you through tough moments. Together, we’ll explore and better understand these parts, nurturing compassion for them, so you can take steps toward the life you envision.
-
Therapy for Mood Challenges
Dealing with mood swings, self-doubt, shame, guilt, or anger all by yourself can be really exhausting. You’re not meant to go through these tough emotions alone. Together, we can create space for understanding and compassion as you navigate your journey.
-
Chronic Emotional and Physical Pain
Chronic pain often accompanies anxiety and fear, creating a challenging pain-fear cycle that heightens pain and stress. Together, we will gently explore this cycle with empathy and compassion, guiding you toward a path of healing and comfort.
-
Couples' Counselling
In couples counselling, through Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), we explore and better understand each other's emotional needs while improving how we communicate them. This process helps cultivate greater empathy, compassion, and mutual understanding in the relationship.
